The present backlog at most gas agency is reported to be more than two months. Besides a new problem added to the misery of customers – that is booking of LPG through SMS. In most cases, for booking gas a customer have to spent Rs 20 – 25.  Many times the land phone of gas agency   remains inactive, the software of IOC remains out of order. Due to the problem of booking and backlog  customers are facing serious problem. For last two months, the lone gas bottling plant could not achieve the required production target. It is alleged that the problem is due to a non – professional approach of a staff of the bottling plant. For fulfilling their own interest, they are using the name of CITU and daily wage labourers. There demand is to give overtime without working. For this demand they took a strategy of go slow policy. For the sake of the organization daily wage laborers participated in the protest. As a result, the bottling of gas was in the plant was severely affected. In an average not even ten trucks bottling was not done. The quota meant for Bishalghar bottling plant was diverted to Silchar bottling plant. According to IOC nowhere in India such problems persist, it only happens here. The good news is the matter was taken to the notice of state government and CITU senior leaders by the concerned authority. It seems the problem will solve soon.
