One Dead, 10 Injured In Bengal As Clashes Erupt Over Teacher Appointments

KOLKATA, Sept 21,2018:A man was shot dead after clashes erupted between students and police over the appointment of teachers at a school in West Bengal's Islampur on Thursday. At least 10 people, including police personnel, were also injured in the incident.

The Islampur state-run hospital said 27-year-old Rajesh Sarkar, a former student, was fatally injured in the back by a bullet. Doctors declared him dead on arrival. As the North Dinajpur police have unofficially denied opening fire, the identity of the shooter is still unknown.

According to the students, they had been agitating for the last three days at the Darinbhit high school against authorities appointing three new teachers for some languages while allegedly ignoring other subjects like history, geography and math. A police team was escorting the new teachers to the school today when students blocked the road and clashes erupted.

The BJP has called for a bandh in the area tomorrow.

Complaint Lodged Against Babul Supriyo In Asansol

Kolkata, Sept 20,2018: A written complaint has been filed against union minister Babul Supriyo for giving threatening message when he came for a programme on Tuesday. A programme has been arranged for the physically retarded children at Nazrul Mancha in Asansol.

Babul Supriyo was present there for the distribution of wheel-chairs for the physically retarded children. Suddenly he lost his temperament on a person who was present there.

Reportedly, the person was roaming from one end to another which distracted the minister. The agitated Babul Supriyo said, “What happened to you ? Any problem ? I Can break your leg and gift all the wheel-chairs.

Without stopping there he said, “If he try to do the same again then i’ll break his leg and i’ll give substance to beat him. You understand ? Now please clap for the person.” The entire incident has been recorded and got viral in social media.

Such behaviour and statement from an union minister has sparked controversy. The written complaint has been filed in South Asansol police station on Wednesday.



BJP Canceled All Program Following Demise Of Vajpayee

Barrackpore, Aug 17,2018 : The BJP has cancelled all their programmes following the demise former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. State Minister for Railways Manoj Sinha said on Thursday, who came to attend party’s programme at Barrackpore.

Manoj Sinha said that Bharatiya Janata Party will cancel all programmes following the demise of party’s guardian Sri Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Already top leaders of the party reached the national capital to pay the rich tribute to the former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee and I also cancelled my programme to attend the last rites.


Son Of Somnath Chatterjee Says Biman-Surya To Leave House

Kolkata, Aug 13,2018: Demise of Somnath Chtterjee has shattered the family as well the nation. Pratap Chatterjee, son of senior Chatterjee unfolded that past is still living alive.

The body of Somnath Chatterjee has been brought to his house at Raja Basant Roy Road where Sitaram Yechury, Secretary General of the Communist Party of India has come to pay his last salute to the ‘Unrecognised Comrade’. Interacting to Yechury, Pratap Chatterjee has expressed displeasure saying, “They have only exploited my father throughout his involvement, now showing courtesy which i won’t tolerate.”

Pratap Chatterjee has shouted when father’s body lying for the last rite. The voice mixed with annoyance and pain said in front of Sitaram Yechury, ” I told them to leave, instructed police so that nobody can enter, I don’t wanna see them within 300 meter.”

Many questions are coming out od his behaviour. Politbereau has responded after 5 hours after his demise. Pratap Chatterjee sahrply said that, “Sitaram Yechury is heartily welcome but Biman Basu and Suryakanta can leave.” The family said Somnath Chatterjee kept safe distance with CPIM. But he was wise enough to maintain the line of personal relationship and party related issues and ideological differences. So, Sitaram Yechury was standing in a safe zone.

The situatiuon started to gain its conmplexity with the growing time. The lagislature member of CPIM Sujan Chakraborty tried to control the damages. Amidst so many turmoil Suryakanta Mishra and Biman Basu paid their last tribute. Biman Basu known as the angry young man of Alimuddin expressed a cold-loaded reply on this. He said, he is heavy-hearted as he lost his father. On the other hand he added, Somnath Chatterjee didn’t like his son Pratap Chatterjee at all.

So, CPIM has again came with their double standered attitude. Still carrying the old damage controlling mindset to get into something almost forcefully. An old practice and attitude close to ‘autocracy’.


Assam Police Files Case Against 8-Members TMC Delegation Team

Kolkata,Aug 3,2018: Assam police has filed case against eight-members of Trinamool delegation who went to Silchar on running National Registers of Citizen issue on Thursday.

On the other hand three cases have been filed against Mamata Banerjee in National Registers Of Citizen issue in three police stations of Assam, said police DGP Kuladhar Saikia.

Mamata Banerjee spoke since the declaration of National Registers Of Citizen. Kolkata to Delhi almost everywhere she came out with protest.

Allegedly, she made provocative comment on NRC. So the FIR lodged against her. Based on the FIR, three cases have been filed against Banerjee.

DGP pf police said, three police stations are Panbazar, Bashistha, North Lakhsmipur. The first one at north Lakhsmipur. IPC 120B, 153A, 294 and 506 have been followed in the case.


Mamata Has To Make Larger Contribution In Delhi: Omar Abdullah

Howrah, July 28,2018: Federal Front is necessary to defeat BJP. All the anti-BJP party will have to come together to fight against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), said former Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah at Nabanna after meeting Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

Omar said, “Mamata Banerjee and I discussed all the situation prevailing on society. We talked on  Jammu & Kashmir too.” ‘Mamata didi’ has expressed agitaion on Jammu & Kashmir situation. Abdullah said, “Didi will develop the nation just the way she is doing to West Bengal.”

Media after the meeting asked him, “Who will get the candidature for Prime Minister if Federal Front forms ?” The ex-chief minister firmly replied, this is not the right time to talk on that. It is still uncertain that who will extend hand to form federal front. Now the prime objective is to remove BJP and then the decision will
come out of negotiation.
