BJP – IPFT joint statement released

AGARTALA, Feb 8, 2018 (TVN):  BJP alone declared alliance with IPFT. Now they have declared BJP – IPFT joint statement alone.

On Wednesday Himanta Biswa Sarma himself  released the joint statement in a press meet. No IPFT leaders were present.

When asked about the absence of IPFT leaders, Sarma said as the leaders are busy in election campaign they are not present.

As expected the joint statement nothing was mentioned about Tipraland. Even though the demand of separate state is main slogan used by IPFT during election campaigning.

In an election rally at Takarjala on Sunday IPFT vice – president Ananta Debbarma said Prime Minister Narendra Modi assured  if BJP comes to power there demand for separate state will be fulfilled.

In various booth offices of IPFT the map of IPFT is displayed, hence creating confusion among voters.  

BJP and IPFT have forged an election. IPFT a tribal based regional party whose core demand is separate state Tipraland is contesting in nine seats and BJP in 51 seats.

The 60 seat assembly election is schedule to held on 18 February.Counting and result will declared on 3 March.
