Taking e-services to rural population: CM

Agartala, Jan 2,2019: Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb  in review meeting of IT department said  by beginning of this year ‘e – dak’  application will used in all government offices and steps are taken in this regard. Addressing the review meeting in secretariat conference hall Deb after the introduction of the new app any kind of circular, notification, memorandum etc can be delivered in offices quickly. By this wastage of time can be stopped and it will bring speed in government works by which  public will be benefitted.  

Chief minister told the concerned officials attention should be paid so that the rural population reaps the maximum benefit by the new computer application. He directed the Common Service Centre (CSC) to take  necessary steps  by creating awareness among people by miking, distributing leaflets.

Principal secretary to chief minister Kumar Alok speaking in the review meeting said the concerned officials to take IT department in common platform when comes to Geographical Information System ( GIS).if GIS system brought under common platform  than agriculture, forest , science & technology can utilize the system.           

 Speaking about CSC, director of IT department said at present there are 1195 CSC in 582 village panchayats and 84 CSC in village committees.  He informed by CSC banking service , insurance , education altogether 84 services are provided more 19 new services will be included.
