Anti – Mamata remark,court grants transit remand

Agartala, Oct 12,2018:West Bengal police got transit remand of Tushar Sharma, arrested  on October 6 from Thakur Palli of Kulai in Dhalai district on the charge of making derogatory remarks  against chief minister Mamata Bannerjee on Facebook. After being produced in Ambassa court on Thursday the court granted five days remand. The three member West Bengal police team led senior inspector of Bidhan Nagar police station Amlesh Bala.

The  police said that Tushar Sharma on August 14 made the remarks and on August 17 West Bengal minister Bratya Basu  registered a complain in Bidhan Nagar police station. The case number is 68/18.

West Bengal police with help of Ambassa police station arrested Tushar. After being produced in Ambassa court  West Bengal police from Bidhan Nagar police station  wanted five days transit remand. But the court sent him to judicial custody on ground of illness.
