State pays homage to Babasaheb

Agartala, Dec 6,2018: State pays homage to the Architect of the Indian Constitution, Bharat Ratna, Baba Saheb Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar on his 63rd Mahaparinirvan Diwas on Thursday.

Chief Minister  Biplab  Kumar Deb offered floral tribute    at the statue  of Baba Saheb at lawn of state museum of Ujjantya Palace.  Speaker of the assembly Rebati Mohan Das, senior officials and school students was present in the programme.

Later speaking to media chief minister said  that his contributions in framing the Constitution will be remembered by future generations.

"Respectful tribute to Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar on his death anniversary. His contribution in framing Indias Constitution will forever be remembered by the generations to come," Deb

Ambedkar was not only a jurist, an economist but also a politician and a social reformer who campaigned against social discrimination of Dalits, women and labourers.

Ambedkar passed away on this day in 1956. The day is observed as Mahaparinirvan Diwas.
