Security beefed up for Modi's April 7 Udaipur rally

Agartala, April 6, 2019:  Following the schedule visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Udaipur,  Gomati district police has beefed up security in and around the Udaipur town. Narendra Modi is arriving  on April 7 to address an election rally in support of Pratima Bhowmik and Rebati Tripura, BJP nominees for West and East Tripura.The rally would be held at Udaipur Girls’ School ground.

A team of SPG along with ADGP Rajiv Singh and SP(SB) Abhijit Saptarshi already visited the venue and prepared a security blanket.According to sources, the Prime Minister would reach MBB airport in a special aircraft of Air Force and then go to Udaipur by a chopper. The chopper will make landing at Chandrapur stadium.

The preparations including setting up of helipad are going on in full swing. Besides, barricades are being installed in both sides of the national highway through which he will go to the venue from the helipad. Security personnel in adequate numbers have already been put in place.
