Agartala, Nov 03, 2019:  Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb  on Sunday said  his  government is planning to boost  state economy boost  by strengthening  dairy farming the state. Deb was addressing the 2nd annual function   organized by Gazetted  Officers Sangha in Town Hall.

He said “ Dairy farming can prove a great boon for state economy. My government  is acting in this regard for strengthening dairy sector and already took some steps in this regard”

In lighter mood he said, “ In future,   the DA ( Dearness Allowances ) of government employee  will be paid  by selling  cow milk. You no longer have to look on me for  DA.”

The BJP government for last  over 1.5 years did not pay any DA to it employees and it gap with central employees is 17 percent. After revised pay scale for employees and  pensioners  in October  2018, not single DA is announced by the state government .

During the rule of LF government, the employees, was strong critic and vocal about DA. It became a convention for LF govt to announce DA twice in year.

Whereas BJP government after coming to power  not a single DA was announced but surprisingly the employees are mute about the issue.
