BJYM burning of Rajul’s effigy before Congress Bhawan draws crticisim

Agartala, Nov 17, 2019: Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha ( BJYM) of Tripura unit under the leadership of its president Tinku Ray on Saturday evening have conducted a barbaric act by burning the effigy of Rahul Gandhi before the Congress Bhawan at Post Chowmuhani.

The act of BJYM is seriously condemned by Tripura Pradesh Congress. In protest NSUI and Youth Congress staged road blockade at Post Chowmuhani. On Sunday afternoon they will organiz a protest march. Senior congress leader Gopal Ray have registered a FIR  at West Agartala police station against Tinku Ray and others.

Meanwhile a DSP of state police informed BJYM did not take prior permission for arranging the protest march.

Another senior leader of Congress criticizing the incident said BJYM act has opened new dimension of protest. Tomorrow this kind of protest may held before CM official residence or BJP party office.

According to report, BJYM workers were organizing  protest march led by Tinku Ray and Vicky Prasad.They were carrying effigy of Rahul Gandhi. After coming before Congress Bhawan, they burnt the effigy. When Congress workers at the Bhawan rushed out, BJYM workers escaped by leaving the half burnt effigy.

Tinku Roy, is defeated MLA of BJP from North Tripura and presently holding post of chairman, TIDC. Vicky Prasad was former NSUI state president and later joined BJP before 2018 assembly election.
